The Bicentenary Celebrations of Rugby Football continue at Rugby School on Wednesday as they host Haileybury, once again live streamed here on NextGenXV, kicking off at 2.30pm
It is the start of a run of seven live school games in ten days, featuring twelve different schools, here on NextGenXV, all of which can be viewed on the NextGenXV YouTube Channel.

Recent Form
Both sides are looking to bounce back from defeat in the opening weekend of the season. Haileybury were on the wrong side of a fantastically close game of rugby against Felsted on Saturday, going down 18-22 in one of the weekend’s most competitive games.
Rugby School were in front of the NextGenXV live cameras, as they are for every game this season, as they hosted Continental Tyres Schools Cup champions Oakham. Again it was a great game with so much exciting rugby and some wonderful tries, but in the end for the hosts it proved a tough opening day as Oakham proved that Cup winning class with a 42-24 victory, which you can relieve below.
Looking Back
It is the first meeting between the two for eight years, as mentioned, back in 2015 Rugby School got the better of things with a strong 44-17 victory. It had been an on/off fixture for a few years, Rugby School dominating the Win/Loss common with Haileybury’s best result in that period an 8-8 draw in 2010.
Haileybury’s last victory in the fixture was a 14-6 home victory in 2008, towards the end of the period when this fixture was a firm fixture in the calendar. They will be hoping to be able to repeat that on Wednesday, not just to inject momentum into the season, but also to perhaps see this return as a permanent fixture on the calendar.
Looking Forward
These two both have big live streamed games as their next fixtures as well. On Saturday Bedford School are the visitors to Rugby School, which will be live streamed for a 3.30pm Kick Off. Haileybury will have the weekend off but are next in action at Saracens’ StoneX Stadium on Wednesday 20th September, where they will be hosting Stamford School in front of the NextGenXV Live Stream cameras for a 7.15pm Kick Off.
