England have named their Academies U17 squad to face France U17 at Kingston Park on Saturday.
The 14.00 kick off will see many of the players who represented England U18 ‘A’ in their defeat to Italy U18 a few weeks ago back in action.
There are also a number of players who played a key role for England U18 in the U18 5 Nations Festival earlier this month. New Hall’s Oli Morris made a number of appearances for the U18 side and captains the U17s against France, Harrow’s Reuben Bird-Tulloch has been another U18 regular, along with Wellington College’s Ben Loader.
Loader is joined in the squad by his Wellington College and London Irish teammate, Josh Basham, with Bird-Tulloch being joined by his Harrow teammate Elliott Obatoyinbo, both of them play their club rugby with Morris at Saracens.
Worcester Warriors are very well represented in the squad, as they have been throughout this year’s age-grade squads. The Bromsgrove duo of Beck Cutting and Laurence Weston are joined by Warwick’s Nick Rigby, Malvern College’s Hamie Scott, and Worcester 6th form College’s Ted Hill.
Wasps have three representatives, Abingdon’s Tom Guthrie, Henley College’s Tom Willis, and Merchant Taylors’ Will Porter. Exeter Chiefs have two players in the squad, both at Bicton College, Marcus Street and Charlie Wright.
Yorkshire Carnegie also have two, Leeds Grammar’s Jack Wafer and Ollie Fox of Pontefract New College, so too Leicester Tigers, with Rugby’s Rom Harwick and Oscar Harper of Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College. Harlequins are the fourth side with two players in the squad, Brighton College’s Marcus Smith, and Reigate Grammar School’s Max Coyle.
Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons have one player in the squad each, Sedbergh’s Sam Moore, and RGS Newcastle’s Charlie Wilson.
