This weekend sees a huge amount of 7s taking place, with tournaments on Friday night and across Sunday, but there is also a touch of fifteen-a-side rugby too.
The bulk on the 7s takes place on Sunday, while the fifteen-a-side action is taking place on Saturday, with the majority of it happening in Scotland.
Friday
Friday sees Gordon’s School host a 7s tournament at both U18 and U16 level, you can see our preview for that tournament here: Gordon’s 7s Preview.
Saturday
Saturday’s action almost all takes place in Scotland. Merchiston Castle’s U18 Schools Cup final preparation continues with a game against club side Boroughmuir RFC. Elsewhere another Scottish giant, Dollar Academy, are in action against Dundee High School, who also have a game on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in Scotland there is a Glasgow derby as Glasgow Academy host Glasgow High School, meanwhile St Aloysius’ College head up to Robert Gordon’s College. Edinburgh Academy are at home against Morrison’s Academy, while Kelvinside Academy host Hutchesons’ Grammar. Over in England Repton are on the road at club side Burton RFC.
Sunday
Sunday sees three key 7s tournaments, the Uppingham 7s which sees a strong field gather in Rutland. You can view our preview for that here: Uppingham 7s Preview.
Meanwhile Reed’s are also hosting a strong tournament on Sunday, with eight sides in attendance at what should be a superb tournament. Check out our preview for that one here: Reed’s 7s Preview.
Our main focus on Sunday will be in Wales at the Christ College Brecon Invitational 7s, where our live cameras will be taking in all of the action on pitch on in one of the biggest tournaments of the season so far as 20 schools gather at Christ College, who have been performing so well all year.
